Think of a time when someone took something you said out of context, how did that make you feel? How did you respond?

When have you taken a passage of the Bible out of context?

What would happen if you just read one sentence from each page of a newspaper? Would it make sense? Would apply each sentence to your life?

There is a saying “A text without a context is a pretext” as you read the Bible make sure you understand the context for each verse. Read the surrounding paragraphs to make sure you understand what is being discussed.
