New #2

Isaiah 30:18-22

1.   What do you think about the fact that God waits to give grace? How does that adjust how you view God?

2.   Why do you think God desires that you pray? How is prayer a part of your daily life?

3.   God is described as a “Teacher”, is that how you see Him? According to this passage what does God use to teach His people? How does this description adjust how you view God?

4.   The passage ends with a response to God, a removal of idols, what idols do you need to remove from your life?

5.   Read Romans 8, how do these two passages relate to one another?

William Barclay: "Prayer is not a way of getting what we want; it is a way of becoming what God wants us to be."

Alistair Begg: "Prayer is the lifeline of the believer; it is the means by which we express our dependence on God."

F.B. Meyer: "The greatest tragedy in life is not unanswered prayer, but unoffered prayer."
