What was one of your best parties? What was the occasion for the party? Who was there? What made it so memorable?
Jesus’ call to Levi a tax collector was shocking. To call someone who was seen as a traitor and greedy would be seen as an unwise decision. Who would be a “tax collector” in your life?
Why do you think Luke has mentioned twice that people who followed Jesus “left everything”? (5:11, 28)
Read Matthew 9:32-38. How does this passage motivate you to persist in your efforts to stand with Christ and share the message of repentance and faith?
Pray against self-righteousness in ourselves and those we share the gospel with.
